To raise awareness on the importance of protecting and restoring the ecosystem in Kampar Peninsula, Restorasi Ekosistem Riau (RER) team displayed peat swamp fishes such as Kryptopterus sp., Luciocephalus pulcher, Silurichthys indragiriensis transported from RER site in Kampar Peninsula. The aquarium at the APRIL booth that contains water from the fishes’ natural habitat attracted many curious visitors.
Video footages from RER’s various camera traps was on display as well. Biodiversity assessments at RER site in Kampar Peninsula has identified the presence of Sunda clouded leopard, sun bear, bearded pig and others.
The Ramin tree and other indigenous plants from RER native species nursery were also on display.
