Managing Land Without Slash and Burn

Teluk Meranti – Fire and haze caused by slash and burn for agriculture causes health and environmental hazard. In a bid to contribute solution to the problem, RER team and its partner social NGO BIDARA provides mechanical tool for the communities at Sangar village. 

Learning from the success of the Fire Free Village Program launched by APRIL in 2015 in which an element of the program is to provide assistance on sustainable agriculture to dissuade slash and burn practices, RER team along with BIDARA handed over lawn mowers to the community at Sangar village.
